While we have sent our staff to work from anywhere and care for their families, because our Crisis Counselors have always been distributed remotely (instead of in call centers), we’re still here 24/7. We're 100% operational.
There’s a lot of pain in this country right now. Today we are releasing our first-ever national report with findings of the underlying reasons people are in crisis. Everybody Hurts: The State of Mental Health in America spotlights state-specific trends of who and when people are in crisis to create solutions that will alleviate that pain.
This week, Crisis Text Line partnered with photographer Damon Baker to launch an interactive campaign that aimed to deconstruct the ‘highlight reel’ nature of social media and encourage users to be honest about their mental health. #DBforCTL is an opportunity for everyone to remember vulnerability, honesty, and empathy can be a vehicle for change.
We’re here to keep people safe. Usually, that’s by helping a texter find a healthy coping mechanism to work through their crisis. In some cases, that means collaborating to help the texter in crisis get help.
In just the last ten years alone, we’ve seen a number of milestones that give us inspiration for the future and bring much needed help to those in crisis.
