Staying On and Strong During the COVID-19 Outbreak

In this awful, weird Coronavirus time: we’ve got our texters covered.

While we have sent our staff to work from anywhere and care for their families, because our Crisis Counselors have always been distributed remotely (instead of in call centers), we’re still here 24/7. We're 100% operational.

What are we seeing in the data?

The word “virus” has increased more than 10x in the last few days in our conversations. Our data is already showing an increase in anxiety. And we’re starting to see an increase in volume. As schools and workplaces close, we are bracing ourselves for an increase in child abuse and domestic violence conversations--because being quarantined at home with an abuser is a terrible reality some people will face. We are here for these people in pain.

  • If you work at a school, hospital, or other company, we are here for you. Feel free to share our number when you send out COVID-19 updates.

  • We are here for your family and community. Please feel free to share our number via your social media or any email updates or to use our service if you are feeling unable to cope. It's anonymous! We'll never know it's you.

  • For other hotlines, mental health, or behavioral health organizations who are short-staffed or closed now, we're here to support you and your communities. Send your volume to us.

  • We are here for federal, state and local officials.  Please feel free to share our number with your staff and your constituents as part of your COVID-19 updates.

  • If you are looking for a way to help, this is a good time to train to become one of our volunteers.

  • For media, we’re keeping a close eye on data and spotting crisis trends that emerge from this pandemic. Get in touch at press@crisistextline.org

We're an empathy company. We're a data company. People need empathy and facts right now. We’re here.
