Bring Crisis Text Line to Your Country
We’re looking for affiliate partners to launch Crisis Text Line around the world! Our plan is to launch one service per country. Find out what we are looking for in future affiliates and start the application process.
WHAT IS A Crisis text line AFFILIATE?
One per country or region. An independent entity committed to delivering free, 24/7, text-based crisis counseling services for one country or region that shares our vision and principles.
Independent. Affiliates are responsible for their own fundraising, volunteer recruitment, texter marketing, governance, and everything that goes into running a great organization.
Financially viable. This is a serious endeavor. Before launching a Crisis Text Line, affiliates should have the funding to run a national text service for at least two years.

Crisis Intervention. We help people in crisis. Crisis definition: “a mental or emotional state that has left the texter in a dangerous condition or unable to cope in a functional or productive way. Our crisis interventions offer in-the-moment support of active crisis situations.”
Best-in-class technology. We believe texters, and volunteers around the world deserve fast, reliable technology that meet users where they are. Each affiliate has access to the same core tech stack (including data) built out of NYC.

What can you do now?
Start to consider the following:
Current landscape. Do crisis counseling services exist in your country? If so, how are they delivered and what does utilization look like?
Demand. Is there demand for a text-based crisis counseling service? Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, etc. Ask them what they think.
Stakeholders. Who are the important players in the crisis counseling space? How should they be involved in the establishment of a text line?
Mobile coverage. What does mobile coverage look like in your country? What percentage of mobile phone users utilize text message and messaging apps?
Accessibility. How would you provide text services free of charge to the user? Who are the major mobile providers in your country? Would they waive fees for texters?
Organizational structure. Who would you work with? How would you most effectively leverage existing resources to make Crisis Text Line a success in your country?
Funding. Where would you raise the funds to launch a Crisis Text Line in your country?
